Hod's Message

Welcome to the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Mechanical Engineering is one of the major activities in engineering profession and its principles are involved in the design, study, development and construction of physical devices and systems. Our department offers outstanding opportunities that prepare students for today’s rapidly changing technological environment. The primary focus of our department is to impart technical knowledge to students, promote their problem solving skills and innovative abilities. Our department has well qualified faculties who are always ready and willing to work in their respective domain and our students get opportunities to work one-on-one with these faculties while advancing the frontiers of knowledge.

The department strives to become a centre of excellence in Mechanical Engineering for creating competent professionals with outstanding technical knowledge and research capabilities in the field of Mechanical Engineering.

• To provide high quality technical education to the students to enhance their skills through Information & Communication Technology based teaching-learning process so that their employability is enhanced.
• To educate students about professional & ethical responsibilities and train them to build leadership and entrepreneurship qualities for their career development.
• To create opportunities and guide students in acquiring career oriented jobs in the field of Mechanical Engineering.

Mechanical Department Laboratories

The department is equipped with different lab and workshop facilities like Material Science & Metallurgy Lab, Fluid Mechanics Lab, Fluid Power Engineering, Measurement Metrology Lab, CAD/CAM Lab, IC Engines Lab, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Lab, Graphics Lab, Manufacturing Processes Lab, Dynamics of Machinery Lab, Heat Transfer Lab, and Thermodynamics Lab. All the laboratories in the department are well equipped to carry out the experiments.

Computer Aided Design Laboratory

Systems fully equiped with design softwares required.

Elements of Mechanical Engineering Laboratory

Laboratory equipped with the (working) models of basic mechanical equipments.

Mechanical Measurement & Metrology Laboratory

Laboratory equipped with various measurement tools and machineries.

Fluid Mechanics Laboratory

Laboratory equipped with the (working) models of different FM equipments.

Fluid Power Engineering Lab

Laboratory equipped with the (working) models of turbines and pumps.

Internal Combustion Engine Lab

Laboratory equipped with (working) models of engines, compressors and various automobile equipments.
